Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the UFO Tracker mobile application operated by AI4U LLC.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using UFO Tracker, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

Description of Service

UFO Tracker is a mobile application that provides:

• A community-driven map and feed of UFO/UAP sighting reports
• Tools to submit your own sightings with photos, video, location, and details
• Community verification, likes, and comments on reports
• Profile features including username, display name, bio, and avatar
• Push notifications for nearby sightings and community activity (opt-in)
• Future features may include AI-assisted identification of common objects (satellites, aircraft, drones, Starlink trains), cluster alerts, and premium overlays

Accounts and Authentication

An account is required to submit sightings and use community features. You can sign in using:

• Apple Sign-In: Authenticates using your Apple ID.
• Google Sign-In: Authenticates using your Google account.
• Email: A passwordless magic link is sent to your email address.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account or allow others to access it. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Community Conduct

UFO Tracker is a public platform where sightings and community interactions are visible to all users. By using the service, you agree to:

• Submit sighting reports in good faith — do not intentionally fabricate reports, stage hoaxes, or misrepresent what you saw.
• Post only content that you own or have permission to share.
• Not post content that is offensive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory, or sexually explicit.
• Not spam, post advertisements, or engage in deceptive practices.
• Not impersonate other users, public figures, or governments.
• Not post content that is illegal or encourages illegal activity.
• Not attempt to collect, harvest, or scrape other users' data.
• Respect the authenticity and privacy of others — do not misuse location or reporter details to harass another user.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all content you create and share through UFO Tracker, including photos, videos, descriptions, and comments. By submitting content to UFO Tracker, you grant AI4U LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and reproduce your content within the app, on the UFO Tracker website, and for reasonable promotional purposes (such as featuring a sighting in app screenshots, social posts, or press coverage).

You may edit or delete your content at any time. Removal may not be immediate from all caches or backups.

By using the app, you also grant AI4U LLC a license to use anonymized and aggregated data (e.g., regional sighting counts, shape frequencies) to improve our services and publish research.

Content Moderation and Reporting

Users can report content or accounts that violate these Terms. We review reports and may take action including content removal, warnings, or account suspension. We are not obligated to monitor all content but reserve the right to do so.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, all submitted sightings (including photos and videos), comments, likes, verifications, and follows. This action cannot be undone.

Accuracy Disclaimer

UFO Tracker is a community-driven platform. We do not verify or endorse the accuracy of individual sighting reports. Reports represent the personal observations and beliefs of the submitter, and may include mistaken identifications of ordinary phenomena (aircraft, satellites, weather balloons, lens flares, etc.).

AI Analysis (when available): Any AI-powered identification provided by the app is a best-effort assessment based on visual analysis. Results may be incorrect. Do not rely solely on AI output to make safety, legal, or financial decisions.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the app in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Not use the app to stalk, surveil, or harass any person.
• Not use the app in any way that could endanger yourself or others (e.g., reporting while driving).
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
• Not use the app for any unlawful purpose.

Data and Privacy

Your use of UFO Tracker is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the app, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

UFO Tracker uses third-party services to provide its features, including:

• Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In for authentication
• Supabase for data storage, authentication, and media hosting
• Google Maps for map rendering and geocoding
• Expo for push notification delivery
• AI providers (future) for photo analysis

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of these third-party services.

Push Notifications

UFO Tracker may send push notifications for nearby sightings, comments on your reports, verifications, new followers, and cluster alerts. You can manage notification preferences within the app's Notification Settings screen or disable notifications entirely through your device's Settings.

Pricing and Subscriptions

UFO Tracker is currently free. In the future, we may introduce optional paid features or a subscription tier for premium capabilities (such as AI photo analysis, cluster alerts, or advanced overlays). Any paid offerings will be clearly disclosed at the time of purchase, and billing will be handled by Apple or Google.

Intellectual Property

The app, including its content, features, logo, and functionality, is owned by AI4U LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI4U LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the app
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or hoaxes in sighting reports or AI analysis
• Personal injury or property damage related to your use of the app
• Any unauthorized access to your data
• Any interruption or cessation of the service
• Content posted by other users
• Actions taken by other users

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI4U LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the app, your content, or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the app at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time as described above.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by other means. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
